James joined All Play in 1985, playing for the Rolling Rebels Wheelchair Basketball club. He played for the Men’s B Squad at the Stoke Mandeville Games in 1989, and for Team Ontario beginning in 1990. He represented Canada at the 1996 Paralympics in Atlanta, and at the World Championships in Sydney, Australia. He brought home gold at the Sydney Paralympics in 2000. He currently works for the BC Wheelchair Sports Association, concentrating on junior development.
